My Favorite Parts of 7th Grade

Today I will be telling you what my three favorite things of seventh grade were. My first one was when we(me and my friends)were playing tag at lunch and it was super muddy and one of my friends slipped on the puddle of mud and fell face first in the mud, he looked like a dog after playing outside for a week straight, but he sucked it up and kept playing with the mud all over. The second one is similar, so what the deal was is one of my friends would give another friend ten bucks to roll like a dog in the dirty puddle, and he did it. I was laughing so hard I started tearing up. My third and best memory was in woodshop. I wanted to turn a pen so bad so I asked a TA(teacher’s assistant) to help me. When I finished my first pen I was hooked, so I turned more and more pens. That was probably in December. In present time I have turned twenty-three pens, and have become a TA. I’m happy I’m able to teach people how to turn pens because they can become a pen TA like me if they would like to. I hope you got some laughs reading this, have a good day!

20% Project Week 6- Card Magic

While working on my 20% project this week I just worked on mastering the tricks which I did by practicing on my peers and my teacher. I also worked on my trifold and my script. The struggle I had this week was on my trifold, I couldn’t get the glued on black pages to stick so whenever I folded it, it came off. I solve that by leaving it open until the end of the period does it drawing so when I folded it, it stayed in the exact same spot. I finished gluing the cover papers on the trifold, and tomorrow I hope to write down card magic and by Connor and add some bright features to attract people to my section on the 20% night. I am going to start my script tomorrow and work on that once I finish my Trifold. Hopefully I will complete everything by Wednesday (the night of the presentation).

Happiness and Satisfaction

Today I’ll be telling you what I notice about these images. In the image on the left the boy is obviously spoiled and I think that he was thinking about himself too much and finally realized that he doesn’t have anything to do besides play video games so he is sad he has no real life friends and only online people that he knows. In the photo on the right the boy is not in a nicer place, he is in a messer and not as fancy place but he is happy with the one toy he has, probably because when he is done with that he plays with his true friends and hangouts with his family. I can’t really relate to there photos because I’m in the middle, I don’t have so many toys and I don’t only have one. I can feel the happiness of the one toy boy because I always hangout with either my family or friends.

20% Project Week 5 Card Magic

This week I continued my second magic trick. Last week I was working on a 10 card magic trick, but I changed plans this week to go a full deck magic trick and I finished and mastered this trick and only one week. The struggle this week was using a little bit more time on the card magic and not the blog so I had more time to master it. I learned this trick from MLT Magic on YouTube. Next week my goal is to review all of the tricks I did to do them smoother. At the beginning of the class of doing the 20% project, I was gonna change my schedule, but I finished the trick faster than I thought I would so I don’t have to make any changes/adjustments. Hopefully, throughout the next couple of weeks, I can practice this trick so I can do it without any mistakes at all times.

Rad Reading April

Refugee by Alan Gratz. Refugee is stories of three different children and their families, each trying to escape their crazy homelands, in different regions of the world and during different decades. Josef and his family try to escape Nazi Germany in 1938; Isabel and her family flee Cuba in 1994; and Mahmoud and his family try to escape Syria in 2015. What I like about the book is in many parts, instead of describing a scene with one word the author uses a whole paragraph to break down what is really happening. My favorite character is Josef because at the beginning of the story, he’s just a little kid, but throughout the story he matures, and becomes a man by the end. One of his character traits is brave, a quote to prove that is, “And when those soldiers said one of us could go free and the other would be taken to a concentration camp, Josef said, ‘Take me.’” My favorite quote is, “To be called a refugee is the opposite of an insult; it is a badge of strength, courage, and victory.” That is my favorite quote because it shows that these refugees are fighters and they’re not just traitors to the country for trying to escape.

My Favorite Room

Today I will be telling you what my favorite room in my house is. My favorite room is The downstairs living room. The first reason why it is my favorite room is because I spend the most time down there, either watching TV, playing video games, or just sitting on the couch. The second reason is because when I watch TV there is surround speakers, meaning there are speakers all around the room so it makes the shows or movies super realistic, and the 85’ TV is nice too. The final reason why The downstairs living room is my favorite room is because I love to spend time watching movies with my family at that is where we watch the movies.

20% Project Week 4 – Card Magic

This week was the week that I started my second magic trick. I accomplished my goal, and I got about halfway through mastering the basics of it and the skills that come with it. I use the same YouTuber as my last trick, SeanDoesMagic. The only struggle I had this week was starting to understand the basics of the trick because you have to do a certain flip of a card and a technique and I couldn’t really master that but I got the basics of it. So, hopefully, next week I will be able to master and complete my magic trick. Even though I had that struggle, I did not have to make any adjustments to my schedule. Next week my goal is to master this trip and complete it and get comfortable with it. This trick requires ten cards and somebody for you to show/amaze them. Hopefully I will stay on schedule so I can finish this trick next week and show people to get used to it.

20% Project #3 Card Magic

Today I mastered my first trick. My goal was to finish it and I completed my goal for this week. I finished the trick that SeanDoesMagic on YouTube taught me. This week my only struggle was getting distracted with my friends. I solve that by getting myself together and moving away from them so I can focus and complete my goal. I am thankful that my teacher noticed that I wasn’t focused so she suggested that I moved away so I think her for that. This was my adjustment, moving away from my friends so I could focus. next week I want to start/get halfway through a different card trick, and if I succeed with that goal, then I will be on track for week five. Thank you for reading my blog hope you enjoyed and feel free to stop by to see my progress next week, bye have a good day.

20% Project #2 Card Magic

Today I worked on my first trick. I accomplished my goal of getting about halfway through the first magic trick, and I mastered the first half. I found a YouTuber called SeanDoesMagic, and I learned the trick from him. This week the only struggle I had was unable to do a card flip with my fingers, but after about 15 minutes of trying it, I mastered it. But even though I had a struggle, I still did not have to make any adjustments. My mentor/dad helped me out with that struggle by taking his own time to master it, so he can help me figure it out. I am very thankful that he did that so I could stay on pace with my schedule. Next week I want to finish and master this first card trick. Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed it! I hope you pop by next week to see more progress.

Spectacular Dinner

Today I will be sharing who I would invite to a dinner. The first person I would invite is my grandma. The reason for this is because her cooking is one of the best food I’ve ever had in my lifetime, and I would love to spend time with her and have dinner together. The second person that I would like to invite is my mom. I would love to invite my mom because I love her so much and I wish that we could hangout more, so at dinner we could hangout and talk. The final person is my dad. I’m inviting my dad because we get along very well and quality time would be so much fun with him and we could play after dinner together. Those are the three people I would invite to dinner I hope you enjoyed reading.
